Mountain Skullcap Description
The Mountain Skullcap (Scutellaria
montana) plant is native to the eastern parts of
the United States of America. It is found throughout
the Appalachian Mountains stretching from New York down
south to Alabama. Is is actually an endangered species
of herb, and is also known as the Large-flowered
Skullcap.
Mountain Skullcap can be used both
as a nerve tonic and as a sedative. In the "olden"
days, Mountain Skullcap was used to treat rabies.
